Baby Steps Daycare began in the Spring of 1999 as a family childcare center. Since its inception Baby Steps has grown and, in the summer of 2003, became a group childcare center.
Baby Steps Daycare II is a Christian Based Organization. Baby Steps educational philosophy is to train a child in the way that he/she should go early in order for he/she to be productive later in life. Therefore, the teacher will create a lesson plan (based on Montessori curriculum) that will help your child develop socially and emotionally to thrive academically.
Baby Steps staff will use the Teaching Cycle to assist in lesson/curriculum planning that is developmentally appropriate. Along with the WMELS 5 domains (health/physical development, social/emotional development, language development, and communication, approaches to learning, cognition and genral knowledge). The planned activities and equipment present for each age group will promote the child’s desire to learn and explore.
Each classroom will be supplied with the needed supplies that will enhance and create a positive learning atmosphere. The classrooms are designed that will help provide clear guidelines and promote positive behavior.
The staff is willing to working with the parent to reach our goal/desire to expand the child’s educational level. Parents should speak to the classroom teacher for schedule coordination with home. Staff will take and consider the ideas and suggestions and try to incorporate it in the lesson plan.
